Guide for Institutions
Everything you need to know to use Flip Yourself in kindergarten or school.
What is Flip Yourself?
Flip Yourself is a free online memory game where children can use their own selfies as playing cards. The game runs in the browser and requires no installation or login. Up to 5 players can play together across devices.
Getting Started
- Open aovu.dk on a tablet or computer.
- Tap "Start new game" and choose number of players and theme.
- Enable institution mode (disables camera and contact fields).
- Choose an age group preset for appropriate difficulty.
- Share the link with children's devices via the Share button or QR code.
Institution Mode
Institution mode ensures a safe environment:
- Camera is disabled – only avatars are used.
- Contact fields (email/phone) are hidden.
- Age group presets automatically adjust difficulty.
- An "Institution" badge is shown so everyone can see the mode is active.
Sharing with Children
Create the game on the educator's tablet, tap the Share button and send the link to children's devices. Children enter their name, choose an avatar and are ready to play. No account or login needed.

Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. We collect minimal data, no permanent storage, and servers run in the EU. Read our privacy policy for documentation.
Can we avoid selfies?
Yes, in institution mode the camera is automatically disabled. Children use avatars instead.
What happens to data after the game?
Everything is automatically deleted when the game closes. No data is stored permanently.
Which devices work?
All devices with a modern browser – iPad, Android tablet, Chromebook, computer.
Does it cost anything?
No, Flip Yourself is completely free. No ads, no subscription.
